There are moments in history when shadows seem to grow taller than the light. We see loud, obnoxious, obfuscating voices rise — those who choose to lead not from love, but from fear. They are obsessed with clinging to power, often with clenched fists, forgetting that true strength comes only through unity with Life itself, as everything is interconnected and thus One.
It is easy to feel small in the face of such forces as they stir up gargantuan plumes of smoke amidst their chaos. Yet Spirit reminds us that no voice of division, no empire of ego, can ever touch the eternal truth of our Oneness.
When we return to the sacred within us — the undiminished presence of All Life, that quiet flame of eternal presence, compassion, and love — we not only rise above what seeks to diminish us, but we move forward as examples of Truth and an Inspiration for change with those who we meet. The world may fracture, but the soul cannot. The heart that remembers its connection to the Whole is unshakable.
So today, let your practice — whether it is prayer, breath, silence, or service — be your act of resistance in the face of egocentric soul-dividing authoritarianism. Choose to walk in peace, even when others walk in fear. Choose to see the Divine spark in every soul, even when some would deny it.
This is not passivity. This is power. For no ruler, no autocrat, no shadow of fear can withstand the radiance of awakened hearts and the Truth of Interconnectedness.
