What are the Dimensions of Your "Self"?

There I was, sitting quietly in a seat outside of a clothing store in Bellevue Square while my wife was returning an item.  It’s not a place you’d think one would have a spiritual experience or deep existential thoughts … but it was.  What else was I going to do?  Just watch random strangers pass by?  Nah.  I decided to turn it into a meditation … To go inward and examine the frequency of my own Self (if I could even identify it in that space).   Within such investigation, I started to really dwell on the concept Self … what each one of us IS

Some of what I realized is rather familiar.  But here’s the beauty of meditation: examining the issue further.

When it comes to the nature of “Self” there is a longstanding phrase of “You are an expression of the universe.”

Okay.

But what does that truly represent?

Well … if we consider the universe as being literally (and not symbolically) a great Mind -- what does that energy of your Self mean in relation to the wider expanse of such a thing? Right now, your Self, your frequency, is "coalesced" into this body of a physical material being .... It is focused in terms of your mind being translated through synapses and nerve endings ... Yet you – as a mind – still also exist every-where and every-when once you get down into the subconscious aspects of being, especially considering the nature of quantum consciousness.

It begs the question: what is your Self’s greater expression or potential impact in relation to the perspective of the Great Universal Mind of which you are not normally aware, due to your focus through the physical body?

The coalesced Self (“You” within the focus of being in the “here” and “now” through the lens of the physical brain and nerve structure of the body) is not “imprisoned” by virtue of being coalesced.  It is simply a matter of mental focus so that you can navigate this particular three-dimensional experience.

You can change that focus through practice and intention.  At the very least, it is not the “whole” of You.

Your “Self” – regardless of being coalesced – is ultimately a window into this ever-expansive field of intelligent energy and frequency that is the Mind of the universe, because that is where the absolute wholeness of You really resides.  The physical “here” and “now” of the conscious mind is only a very small, very deliberate portion of the Self, while the rest of you is still out there.  Yet we don’t consider this or take any time to ponder it (so hypnotized are we with our three-dimensional experiences -- LOL).

The wholeness of you is literally every-where and every-when; it just gets focused like a laser into a specific “here” and “now” for the unpacking of experience that allows for a unique inspection of probabilities to be examined within a three-dimensional context.

I know I’m repeating myself here, but I think it’s important to note:  Since the universal Mind is essentially boundless, when we are focused in the physical world, we ignore the greater portion of Self that exists simultaneously within those wider fields of every-where and every-when.   “Dimensionless” areas you still occupy and affect, though you do not focus upon these areas within the confines of the small physical brain and its resultant “tunneling” of Self into a limited “box” we term the “conscious mind.”

Frankly, I think we give too much credence to the coalesced self – which leads to the creation of a personal ego – and thereby denies this much greater aspect of Self. In so doing, we limit our experience as well as the understanding of the impact we ARE HAVING in the larger areas of the universe of which we purposefully keep ourselves from consciously perceiving. Yet the coalesced self is a window... We are just so enamored with the glass, we fail to see what it is giving us access to truly see.

The question no longer is "who or what am I?" in relation to understanding the egoic self, but rather within the larger scope of the universal Mind, of which we are a contributing thought-process.

Since we are an individualized manifestation of a particular frequency of the universe – a certain manifestation of a universal Mind – it behooves us to consider our Self within that context ...

“What am I in terms of a universal aspect of Mind?  How do I relate to the other universal aspects (minds) that are also coalesced right now, but that are also every-where and every-when?”

We are – quite literally – more than the coalesced version we are experiencing in linear time and space.

But the coalesced version is also a window.  Look through it instead of looking at it.
